Royals 5, Red Sox 1
Fans hold up signs in support of AL Cy Young Award candidate Zack Greinke. (Charlie Riedel/AP)
Zack Greinke tossed six dazzling frames vs. the Red Sox, striking out five (229 for the year) for his 15th win. Backed by a five-run first, the AL Cy Young Award hopeful needed only that to two-hit Boston and lead KC to its third consecutive victory and 12th win in its past 15 games.
