With Victor Martinez's Red Sox debut drawing plenty of attention, Josh Beckett would not be overshadowed, firing seven scoreless innings for his ML-leading 13th win. Dustin Pedroia and Kevin Youkilis homered and Martinez hit an RBI single for Boston, now just a half-game out of first.
