The A's mounted a two-out outpouring in the sixth inning, hanging a four-spot on Red Sox starter Jon Lester, but that lead was erased by a persistent Boston lineup. Instead of handing Gio Gonzalez his second successive win, Oakland settled for a series split at Fenway Park.
