Red Sox 6, Twins 5
Brad Penny struck out seven and didn't walk a batter while improving to 5-1. (AP)
Suffering from a sinus infection that upset his stomach, Brad Penny held the Twins to three runs in 5 1/3 innings -- two scoring in his final frame. Penny was backed by 16 hits -- four by Mike Lowell -- and Jonathan Papelbon overcame a two-run homer in the ninth to preserve the win.
