Glen Perkins gave the Twins a solid six-plus innings in his first big league start, but left in the seventh after allowing back-to-back homers. Perkins didn't get much support, though, as Chris Gomez's bases-loaded walk and Justin Morneau's RBI single were all the Twins could muster.
