The Orioles got six solid innings (three runs, seven strikeouts) from Daniel Cabrera and broke their scoreless-inning streak vs. the Sox at 12, but a wasted bases-loaded, no-out opportunity in the fourth and other chances proved costly. Ramon Hernandez homered in the seventh.
