The White Sox dropped the first game of their doubleheader against the Red Sox, as Jon Garland was undone by a four-run inning. Josh Fields highlighted the offense with a two-run homer, his 16th of the season. Darin Erstad and Jerry Owens each picked up two hits in the loss.
