Daisuke Matsuzaka's fine start came to a not-so-fine end on Wednesday, surrendering a two-run homer to B.J. Upton in the sixth inning to provide the difference. Dice-K struck out eight and walked four over six innings as his record fell to 13-10.

The Rays had just four hits on Wednesday against the Red Sox, but one big hit was enough. B.J. Upton belted a two-run homer off Daisuke Matsuzaka in the sixth inning, and the bullpen made it stick. Edwin Jackson had his fifth straight quality start, allowing one run over six innings.
