The Red Sox struck first in a sunny series finale at Fenway Park, but it was a big seventh inning that gave Boston the win over the O's. Tim Wakefield gave up three runs to the Orioles in the fifth inning, but he settled down to get the victory, and Eric Gagne made his first Red Sox appearance.
