bases-loaded jam in the first, and from there as he shut down the Tribe for seven innings. The Red Sox scored the only run on Mike Lowell's single, which plated Kevin Youkilis.

The Indians couldn't solve Red Sox starter Daisuke Matsuzaka on an evening which ace C.C. Sabathia gave a brilliant effort over seven innings. Sabathia's mere mistake came in the fourth, when Kevin Youkilis scored the lone run. Ryan Garko extended his hitting streak to 17 games.
