Beckett's 10K night golden
Contreras gives up 10 runs
The White Sox caught a break after what looked like a Red Sox homer was ruled an RBI double. Jose Contreras allowed just that one run through four innings, then opened the floodgates and ended up allowing 10 runs on 10 hits. In doing so, he squandered a lead handed him by Jim Thome, who hit a three-run homer.

Series at a glance:
Beckett gets lucky win 13
The game started on a controversial note, when what appeared to be a J.D. Drew homer was ruled a double. But the tide quickly turned in Boston's favor. Starter Josh Beckett struck out 10 en route to his 13th win, backed by a bases-loaded triple by Coco Crisp and a grand slam by Julio Lugo.
