Richie Sexson hit a two-run homer in the sixth inning to break the third tie of the game. Every Mariners starter had at least one hit, run scored or RBI to pick up Felix Hernandez, who allowed five earned runs in 5 2/3 innings. J.J. Putz got the final five outs for his 22nd save in as many chances.
