Red Sox take twin bill
Red Sox 4, Tigers 2
Eric Hinske connects on his tie-breaking two-run homer. (Charles Krupa/AP)
 Hinske's two-run homer
Game 1 of Thursday's day-night doubleheader belonged to Julian Tavarez, and Eric Hinske was the star of Game 2. Filling in for J.D. Drew, the right fielder made a spectacular catch to prevent a run, then belted a two-run homer that snapped a tie and put the Red Sox ahead for good.
