Sox make most of miscues
Red Sox 14, Yankees 3
Manny Ramirez singled in a run and blasted a solo homer. (Frank Franklin II/AP)
Boston got its scoring started by plating a run on a fielding error and another on a wild pitch, then added two more runs on errors. But the Sox got runs the conventional way as Manny Ramirez singled home a run and homered, Mark Loretta singled in two and Alex Gonzalez hit a three-run homer as the Sox rolled to victory over the Yankees. Josh Beckett improved to 4-1.
