Ken Griffey Jr., Ron Oester, Dave Parker and 19th century player Jake Beckley were named as the 2014 class of the Reds Hall of Fame. Griffey, Oester and Parker all born and/or grew up in Cincinnati.

Veteran catcher Ryan Hanigan is headed from the Reds to the Rays in a three-team trade.
12/3/2013 | Rays acquire Hanigan, Bell in three-team trade
The Rays pulled off a three-team trade with the D-backs and Reds on Tuesday that brought in reliever Heath Bell and catcher Ryan Hanigan. Cincinnati received left-handed starter David Holmberg from the D-backs, while Arizona received right-handed pitcher Justin Choate and a player to be named or cash considerations from Tampa Bay. The D-backs also sent cash -- around $500,000 -- to the Rays to help offset Bell's contract.
12/3/2013 | Reds said to have cut ties with outfielder Paul
The Reds reportedly did not offer a 2014 contract to outfielder Xavier Paul before Monday's deadline. Arbitration-eligibles who were expected to have been tendered contracts are pitchers Homer Bailey, Aroldis Chapman, Mike Leake, Sam LeCure and Alfredo Simon, catcher Ryan Hanigan and outfielder Chris Heisey. The club did not make an official announcement as of 90 minutes past the 11:59 ET deadline.
