BOSTON -- Today's Red Sox-Yankees game at Fenway Park has been postponed due to rain and the forecast, as provided by the Red Sox private weather service, Meteorlogix, for continued steady rain and inclement conditions throughout the afternoon and into the evening.

Today's game has been rescheduled as the second game of a day-night doubleheader, tomorrow, Sunday, September 28, beginning at 7:35 p.m. The regularly scheduled game between the Red Sox and Yankees will be played at 1:35 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

Tickets for today's game will be good for admission to Sunday's 7:35 p.m. game between the Red Sox and Yankees.

The pre-game ceremony to retire Johnny Pesky's #6, originally scheduled for Friday, will take place at approximately 1:15 p.m. prior to the Red Sox-Yankees 1:35 p.m. game on Sunday afternoon.

NESN will televise both games on Sunday, including the Pesky ceremony in its entirety before the day game.

This is the Red Sox' third postponement at Fenway Park this season, the others were on May 16 vs. Milwaukee and August 15 against Toronto.
