BOSTON -- The Red Sox today announced that left-handed pitcher Craig Breslow has been claimed off waivers by the Cleveland Indians.

Breslow spent all of 2007 at Triple-A Pawtucket and had a 2-3 record and a 4.06 earned run average in 49 games. He was 0-1, 6,75 in five "A" appearances with the Red Sox this spring. Breslow was not a member of Boston's travel roster to Japan.

BECKETT PITCHES IN CAMP GAME: RHP Josh Beckett pitched for Triple-A Pawtucket versus Double-A Portland in a Minor League camp game on Sunday in Fort Myers, Florida. He worked 2.0 scoreless innings, allowing one hit and one walk with three strikeouts. Beckett threw 35 pitches/24 strikeouts and faced a total of seven batters. He has been sidelined since suffering lower back discomfort and muscle spasms prior to his scheduled start on March 8 versus Florida.
