DENVER -- The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have agreed to terms on a minor league contract with infielder/outfielder John Mabry. Mabry will be a non-roster player in the club's major league spring camp.

Mabry, 36, appeared in 107 games for the Chicago Cubs last season. He saw action at the corner positions in both the infield and outfield, though a majority of his games came at first base. Mabry had 41 pinch-hit at-bats last season, and has 4 career pinch homers. He owns a career .398 (49-for-123) average at Coors Field with 4 home runs and 28 RBI.

The left-handed hitter has batted .265 with 95 home runs and 441 RBI in 1,294 major league games with St. Louis (1994-98, 2001, 2004-05), Seattle (1999-2000, 2003), San Diego (2000), Florida (2001), Philadelphia (2002), Oakland (2002), and Chicago-NL (2006). Mabry has seen action in 26 postseason games, including 4 at-bats in the 2004 World Series. He has 95 career home runs, one shy of matching Dave May and Randy Bush for the most ever by a player born in the state of Delaware.
