Red Sox fans sought for new MLB "I live for this" commercial
Fans invited to audition during open casting call at Fenway Park on January 22
WHAT: Open casting call at Fenway Park to audition fans for a spot in one of six new "I Live for This" national television commercials from Major League Baseball.
The lucky fans who most impress the judges with their enthusiasm and dedication to the Red Sox will be flown to Miami in mid-February to shoot a national TV commercial designed as a creative twist to the popular MLB "I Live for This" advertising campaign.
Since being introduced in September 2003, the "I Live for This" campaign has highlighted Major League Baseball players talking about their passion for the game of baseball. MLB is extending the concept by creating six new spots in which fans will demonstrate exuberance for their teams and excitement about the 2005 Major League Baseball season. The spots will feature fans from six teams that participated in the 2004 postseason, including the Red Sox, Cardinals, Astros, Yankees, Angels and Dodgers.
WHEN: Saturday, January 22, 2005 from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
WHERE: Fenway Park, Boston -- Fans should enter at Gate D
Fans are encouraged to take public transportation to Fenway Park in order to prevent neighborhood traffic congestion
MEDIA OPPORTUNITIES:
Media interview and photo ops will include:
(1) exuberant, over-the-top fans waiting to audition; (2) Jacqueline Parkes, Senior Vice President, Advertising and Marketing for Major League Baseball
(3) Mike Dee, Chief Operating Officer, Boston Red Sox and
(4) the director of the "I Live for This"
commercials.
Media should enter Fenway Park at Gate D and display appropriate credentials.
