Altuve edged out the Yankees Aaron Judge and the Indians Jose Ramirez in the voting. Glove Award, three batting titles and two stolen base titles.

  • Tickets for the 2018 Shriners Hospitals College Classic Now Available

    HOUSTON, TX - Tickets for the 18th annual Shriners Hospitals for Children College Classic, which will be held from March 2-4, 2018, are now on sale at The three-day, six-team, nine-game tournament, which is held at Minute Maid Park every spring, will feature three programs from local universities, including the University of Houston, Sam Houston State and Louisiana-Lafayette, and three from the SEC, in Mississippi State, Vanderbilt and Kentucky. All nine games over the weekend will pit a local university against an SEC opponent.

    With tonight's Game 7 win over the LA Dodgers, the Houston Astros are World Series Champions for the first time in franchise history. Prior to this season, the Astros had gone 55 years without a World Series Championship and had appeared in only one other World Series (2005). The Astros defeated the LA Dodgers by a score of 5-1 tonight at Dodger Stadium.

    The Astros will host the LA Dodgers in Games 3, 4 and 5 of the 2017 World Series presented by YouTube TV here at Minute Maid Park this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 27-29. Friday's Game 3 will begin at 7:20 p.m. CT as Astros RHP Lance McCullers Jr. takes the mound vs. familiar foe RHP Yu Darvish and the Dodgers. Saturday's Game 4 will also begin at 7:20 p.m. CT with Astros veteran RHP Charlie Morton on the bump vs. Dodgers LHP Alex Wood. Game 5 on Sunday is also slated to begin at 7:20 p.m. CT. Last night, the Astros won their first World Series game in franchise history in a dramatic, 11-inning contest. The World Series is now knotted up, 1-1, as the Astros and Dodgers enter Game 3 on Friday.
