Monday's Royals game sets FOX Sports Kansas City ratings record

Monday's Royals game was the highest-rated Royals telecast ever on FOX Sports Kansas City. The Royals 3-2 win over first-place Detroit, their sixth straight win, generated an 8.1 household rating in the Kansas City market according to Nielsen Media Research.

The Royals game was the highest-rated program in prime time in Kansas City, easily topping WDAF's 9 p.m. news (6.2) and The Voice (5.7). Tigers-Royals peaked at 10.6 (98,000 households) from 9 to 9:15 p.m.
