Mariners at the plate: Second baseman Jose Lopez went 3-for-4 and scored a run. Right fielder Mike Morse celebrated his 26th birthday with his 24th, 25th and 26th hits of the spring. His second hit, a double, drove in a run. First baseman Greg Norton went 2-for-3 to improve his chances of earning a spot on the Opening Day roster.

Rangers at the plate: Second baseman Ian Kinsler and shortstop Michael Young each went 3-for-3 and scored three times. Left fielder Kevin Mench doubled, singled and scored two runs, while third baseman Hank Blalock singled twice and drove in two runs as the top four hitters went a combined 10-for-12. First baseman Jason Botts drove in three runs.

Mariners on the mound: Left-hander Ryan Feierabend, who likely will start the regular season with Triple-A Tacoma, worked the first four innings and allowed four hits and three runs. He took a hard shot off his right knee in the third inning, but remained in the game. Left-handed reliever Jake Woods surrendered four consecutive singles in the fifth inning, leading to four runs.

Rangers on the mound: Starter Eric Hurley struggled during a four-run first inning, allowing six hits, but regrouped and pitched into the fifth inning. Left-handed reliever C.J. Wilson struck out two of the four batters he faced.

Cactus League records: Mariners 9-13-2; Rangers 13-9-2.

Up next for the Mariners: In what figures to be one of his last opportunities this spring to convince the Mariners that he belongs on the Opening Day roster, right-hander Cha Seung Baek draws the starting assignment against the Angels on Sunday. Baek has been brilliant this spring, posting a 2-0 record and 0.82 ERA in five Cactus League outings. He must clear waivers to be sent to the Minor Leagues. Right-hander R.A. Dickey, who also has had a good spring, and right-hander Mark Lowe also are slated to pitch.

Up next for the Rangers: Luis Mendoza, who has won a spot in the Rangers rotation, pitches against the Giants at 3:05 p.m. CDT Sunday in Surprise, Ariz. Josh Hamilton should be back in the Rangers lineup after getting a day off on Saturday. Hamilton is hitting .512 with two home runs, six doubles, two triples, nine runs scored and 14 RBI for the spring. The game will be broadcast on Fox Sports Southwest and KRLD 1080 AM.
