Beckett goes for win No. 14
Boston (67-43) at Seattle (60-48), 4:05 p.m. ET
Josh Beckett takes to the hill in the rubber game of the Red Sox's three-game series against the Mariners at Safeco Field looking to join C.C. Sabathia as the American League's only 14-game winners.Beckett has taken the loss in three of his last four starts despite pitching well. The right-hander has posted a 3.30 ERA, allowing 11 earned runs on 24 hits while walking six and striking out 31 batters in 30 innings of work over the stretch.
