Red Sox at the plate: Wily Mo Pena drove in the first Boston run with a solo homer in the second inning, but Kevin Youkilis did more damage with a three-run shot in the third. It was the first homer of the spring for each.

Phillies at the plate: Chase Utley's two-run homer in the first -- scoring Jimmy Rollins -- put Philadelphia ahead. Rod Barajas recorded two singles and scored a run. Abraham Nunez stroked three singles, while Karim Garcia had three hits, including a double.

Red Sox on the mound: Tim Wakefield's knuckleball danced around well enough, as the veteran right-hander allowed three runs -- two earned -- on eight hits. He walked none and struck out four. Jonathan Papelbon relieved and surrendered two hits in the seventh, allowing the tying run to score.

Phillies on the mound: Jamie Moyer struck out seven and walked one, but he was victimized for a pair of home runs. Moyer gave up four runs, the second time in five spring outings that he gave up an earned run. Jon Lieber, who moved to the bullpen on Wednesday, tossed two scoreless innings, allowing two hits and striking out two.

Grapefruit League Records: Red Sox 10-10-2; Phillies 8-13-1.

Up next: Brett Myers remains in line to open the regular season against Atlanta on April 2, so he'll pitch in a Minor League game at the Carpenter Complex on Friday. J.A. Happ will face the Braves at Bright House Networks Field at 1:05 p.m. ET. The prospect left-hander has made four appearances -- two starts -- and has compiled a 7.15 ERA in 11 1/3 innings, allowing nine earned runs.
