FORT MYERS, Fla. -- The Red Sox rallied for a four-run eighth inning against Twins relievers Boof Bonser and Scott Tyler en route to a 7-4 victory Tuesday afternoon at City of Palms Park.

It was a split-squad contest for the Twins, who got a strong pitching performance from prospect Scott Baker. The right-hander fired three shutout innings, allowing one hit and striking out two.

Star sluggers Manny Ramirez and David Ortiz both went deep for Boston. It was Ramirez's first homer of the spring and No. 2 for Ortiz.

Scott Cassidy earned the win for the Sox in relief. Matt Clement made the start for Boston and settled down after giving up a leadoff homer to Luis Rivas. Lew Ford had a good day for the Twins, going 3-for-4.

Trailing by a run, Sox prospect Hanley Ramirez tied it up with an RBI single with one out in the eighth. Shawn Wooten was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, giving the Sox the lead for good.
