FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Jason Tyner and Matthew LeCroy connected for home runs to help the Twins take a 12-7 victory over the Red Sox on Saturday afternoon in a split-squad game for both teams at Hammond Stadium.

Info:

Minnesota was trailing, 6-3, when it rallied for six runs in the bottom of the fifth. Todd Dunwoody hit a two-run single and Augie Ojeda later added a sacrifice fly. Tyner, an outfielder in camp as a non-roster invite, followed with a three-run homer off Josias Manzanillo.

LeCroy added a solo homer to left field in the sixth.

Boston had taken its three-run lead in the top of the fifth when David Ortiz yanked a grand slam over the right-field fence off Twins lefty Francisco Liriano.

Twins starter Brad Radke pitched two innings, allowing an unearned run and two hits with a walk and two strikeouts.

Red Sox starter Anastacio Martinez gave up three earned runs in two innings of work.

With the win, the six-game Mayor's Cup crosstown series between the two teams is tied at 1.
