ST. LOUIS -- The champagne wasn't even dry in the visitors' clubhouse at Busch Stadium when artifacts from Boston's 2004 postseason -- to be sent to the Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, N.Y. -- were being gathered.
The artifacts from Boston's 2004 World Series championship will be added to the museum's "Autumn Glory" exhibit, which will be unveiled in the near future. The Red Sox memorabilia will remain on exhibit until next year's World Series.
Among the items that will be on display:
The Hall of Fame is also expecting to receive a home jersey from David Ortiz, who had three walk-off hits in this postseason. Ortiz is also likely to provide a game bat from the World Series.
