Close to 3,000 runners and walkers participated today in the 14th annual Coldwell Banker West Shell Redlegs Run at Great American Ball Park, raising approximately $150,000 for the Reds Community Fund.
* Your official 5K start time of 8 a.m. or 8:10 a.m. will be printed on your race bib. To help with traffic flow, we ask that you start with your assigned group.
** If you are an elite 5K runner, you must be in the 8 a.m. starting group to be eligible for the top three 5K male and top three 5K female awards, as those are based on gun time. All other awards will be given based on chip time. (Qualifying times for elite classification are sub 18:00 for men and sub 22:00 for women.)
All participants receive a race t-shirt (technical for 10K participants), post-race party on the Kroger Fan Zone, race medals', and one View Level ticket voucher to the Tuesday, August 18 Reds vs. Kansas City Royals game.
Starting August 4 registration is only available at packet pick-ups and on race morning.
All 5K and 10K participants will be electronically timed. The One Mile Family Run and Gapper's Kids Fun Run are not chip-timed. However, there are race clocks at the finish line. Tags will be assigned at packet pick-up and verification will occur for those who pre-register.
Please give yourself ample time to travel to Great American Ball Park, find parking, and get to the start line. Traffic will be very heavy on the morning of the race. The Reds Community Fund encourages arriving early before the race and carpooling. Be early if you plan on parking near the start line. Roads surrounding Great American Ball Park will close approximately 15-30 minutes prior to the beginning of the race. Please be aware of the Course Map when looking for parking. Roads will re-open approximately 30 minutes after the last participant clears each race section. All roads will open no later than 10 a.m.
Central Riverfront Garage will be pay-upon-entry from 5 a.m.- 10 a.m. for $5. The Central Riverfront Garage is the garage underneath and west of Great American Ball Park.
Please note that Central Parking System manages the parking and onsite traffic operation at Great American Ball Park. Parking prices may be changed at any time without further notice.
In order to maintain the safest environment for all participants, no bags will be permitted at this year's event. Runners/walkers are not allowed to leave personal items behind during races. We strongly recommend that you leave your valuables at home, in your car, or with a family member. All persons and carry-in items are subject to search. All unattended bags & items will be removed from the premises. Additionally, no firearms or other weapons are permitted at the event, including on the property of Great American Ball Park, parking lots and along the course of the Redlegs Run.
Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Sorry, no exceptions. This means once we receive your registration, you are unable to receive a refund if you cannot participate. This No Refunds Policy applies even if the Event is cancelled for any reason. If this occurs, your registration fee will be considered a donation to the Reds Community Fund to be utilized for one of their many outreach initiatives.
