The .406 Club
In 2003, the former "600 Club" was renamed the .406 Club to honor the greatest Red Sox who ever lived and to commemorate his remarkable 1941 season.
Located directly above home plate, the .406 Club is ideal for entertaining clients, and hosting corporate outings. Sit in the most comfortable seat in Fenway Park while enjoying a panoramic view of the field and city skyline.
Offseason renovations have enhaned the sound, atmosphere and overall game experience in this exclusive venue. A renewed dedication to service and a delicious upscale buffet will add to your enjoyment.
The Club includes a private entrance, private restroom facilities and three separate bars.

In 1941, Ted Williams went into the last day of the season hitting .3996, an average that officially rounds up to .400.
With the Red Sox eliminated from the postseason, and a .400 average safely in the record books, no one expected Ted to play in the September 28 season ending doubleheader against the Philadelphia A's.
Red Sox manager Joe Cronin suggested Ted should take the day off, but Ted would hear none of it, and...well, you know the rest of the story.
"The Kid" played both ends of the doubleheader, going 4-for-5 in the first game and 2-for-3 in the second game to finish the season at an improbable .406. |
