contact the Red Sox Foundation to begin the process of authenticating their raffle ticket as valid to claim his/her prize. The Red Sox Foundation will attempt to contact winners, but it is each winner's responsibility to contact the Foundation no later than 11:59 a.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2008.

2008 RED SOX FOUNDATION RAFFLE: OFFICIAL RULES
The Red Sox Foundation 2007 World Series Championship Ring Raffle ("Raffle")
OFFICIAL RULES: By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the Red Sox Foundation, which shall be binding and final as to all matters related to the Raffle. The Raffle is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.
SPONSOR: The Red Sox Foundation, 4 Yawkey Way, Boston, MA 02215. Nonprofit Tax ID Number 33-1007984.
NET PROCEEDS: All net proceeds of the Raffle will benefit the Red Sox Foundation, a 501(c)3 public charity (hereafter known as "Sponsor" ) and the programs and charitable donations that Sponsor supports. These programs aim to improve recreational, educational, health and social services for children and families in need, with a primary focus on programs in New England. Approximately 90% of the proceeds from every raffle ticket sold will be dedicated to the Red Sox Foundation's charitable programs.
PRIZES (10): A total of ten (10) prizes will be awarded in the Raffle. Nine (9) winners will each receive one (1) genuine Boston Red Sox 2007 World Series Championship Ring. Each Ring will be the same size, make, and model, and consist of the same materials and jewels as the Red Sox players' 2007 World Series Championship rings. Each of the nine Raffle winner's last name will be engraved on the side of his/her ring, in similar manner as the Red Sox players' names are inscribed on their rings. The appraised value of each Ring, based on its estimated retail replacement value, is approximately $20,000. One winner, who will be considered the tenth winner in the Raffle, will receive one (1) Special Edition 2008 Red Sox C30 Volvo, which has an appraised value of approximately $30,000.
All prizes will be awarded "as is," with no warranty or guarantee of any kind by Sponsor, whether express or implied. Winners may not substitute, assign or transfer the Prizes or redeem the Prizes for cash. One of the rings will be available for visual inspection at The Ticket Office at Fenway Park, 4 Yawkey Way, Boston, MA every Monday, starting on Monday April 14, 2008 through Monday May 19, 2008, between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. The Volvo will be available for visual inspection at Fenway Park, 4 Yawkey Way, Boston, MA on Wednesday April 9, 2008 and at Boston Volvo in Brighton, Massachusetts and other select New England area Volvo dealerships. There is no purchase necessary for inspection of the Ring or the Volvo.
ELIGIBILITY TO ENTER: During the dates and times specified below, Raffle tickets MAY BE PURCHASED ONLY BY PERSONS 18 YEARS OR OLDER in accordance with these Official Rules and on dates and times as specified, either at Fenway Park locations before or during scheduled home games, tours and special events in Boston and on select Saturdays and Sundays at one or more Simon Malls in Massachusetts, and other Massachusetts locations during, or on the Internet, by following the instructions at www.redsox.com. Anyone 18 years or older, regardless of their state of residence, may purchase Raffle tickets in person at Fenway Park or in other locations as available in Massachusetts. Internet sales of Raffle tickets are open ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF MASSACHUSETTS WHO ARE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER. Filters on the www.redsox.com website are designed to prohibit anyone other than Massachusetts residents 18 years or older from purchasing Raffle tickets on the web, but in any case, this Raffle is VOID OUTSIDE MASSACHUSETTS AND WHEREVER PROHIBITED BY LAW.
The following persons are NOT ELIGIBLE to participate in the Raffle or to win any Prize: Employees, officers, directors, shareholders, members, agents and consultants of The Red Sox Foundation, the Boston Red Sox, any MLB Entity ("MLB Entity" means, collectively, the Major League Baseball Clubs, the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball, MLB Advanced Media, L.P., Major League Baseball Enterprises, Inc., Major League Baseball Properties, Inc., doing business as Major League Baseball International and Baseball Advanced Media and the printer of the Raffle tickets (collectively, the "Ineligible Parties"), and any parent, subsidiary, affiliated entity, advertising agency, promotion agency and immediate family members of any Ineligible Party. "Immediate family members" means spouses, parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, and siblings (and any of their respective spouses) of an Ineligible Party.
PURCHASING RAFFLE ENTRIES: All Tickets will be $10 each, regardless of method or location of purchase. There are no discounts or complementary tickets. There are two (2) ways to purchase Raffle Tickets:
(1) Raffle tickets will be available for purchase in person by eligible persons (see "ELIGIBILITY TO ENTER" above) starting at 11:30 a.m. Eastern Time ("ET") on April 8, 2008, and may be purchased through 11:59 a.m. ET on July 5, 2008 (or until the maximum number of tickets are sold out, whichever comes first.) Raffle tickets may be purchased in person at Fenway Park in Boston at the ticket office or at designated locations inside Fenway Park. The ticket office will be open for Raffle sales from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and occasional weekends. Raffle Tickets also will be available for sale inside Fenway before and during Red Sox home games, tours and scheduled events. Raffle tickets will also be sold by the Red Sox Foundation at kiosks in select Simon Malls in Massachusetts on designated Saturday and Sundays from Noon to 5 PM ; and at other Massachusetts locations during the designate period as indicated. Eligible patrons who purchase their Raffle Tickets in person at Fenway Park and other locations specified above must sign their Entries at the time of purchase.
(2) Raffle tickets may be purchased only by residents of Massachusetts age of 18 years or older for ten dollars ($10.00) each starting at 11:30 a.m. Eastern Time ("ET") on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 through 11:59 a.m. Saturday July 5, 2008 (or until the maximum number of tickets are sold out, whichever is first) by visiting www.redsox.com and following the directions to purchase and print a Raffle ticket. To be valid, an Entry purchased on the Internet must be downloaded from the website at www.redsox.com and printed by the entrant at the time of purchase. Entrants purchasing Raffle tickets online must digitally sign their Entries, using the procedures specified.
All purchasers of Entries must provide their names, addresses, telephone numbers and (if available) e-mail addresses at the time of purchase. Sponsor shall be the sole judge of the validity and eligibility of all Entries. Entries generated by other automated or mechanical means are void. Entries which are or appear to be tampered with are void. All Entry purchases shall be final, and no refunds or replacements will be issued by Sponsor. All raffle Entries must be purchased no later than 11:59 a.m. ET on Saturday July 5, 2008, whether purchased in person or on the Internet at www.redsox.com.
RAFFLE TICKETS ARE NONDEDUCTIBLE: No portion of the Raffle ticket price may be deducted as a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes.
MAXIMUM NUMBER OF RAFFLE TICKETS: Regardless of the location or method of sales, a maximum of 200,000 Raffle Tickets will be sold. If the 200,000 maximum number of Raffle Tickets are sold before noon on July 5, 2008, the Raffle shall be deemed "sold out" and no additional tickets will be sold.
ODDS: The odds of winning the Raffle depend on the number of eligible Entries received. If the maximum 200,000 tickets are sold, the odds of winning for each ticket are 10 in 200,000. If less than the maximum tickets are sold, the olds of winning will be greater. All ten prizes will be awarded to eligible winners.
TRANSFER OF RAFFLE ENTRIES: Persons who purchase Raffle tickets at Fenway Park or other designated in person sales locations may opt to give away their raffle tickets to others, but in doing so they give up any claim they might otherwise have to the Prizes if the surrender a winning Raffle ticket. Raffle tickets purchased in person may be given away to persons who are under 18 years of age, but only individuals who are 18 years of age or older may claim or win a Prize. Tickets purchased online at www.redsox.com may not be given away or otherwise transferred. The Raffle is being conducted pursuant to a raffle permit issued to Sponsor by the City of Boston. Purchasers of Raffle tickets, whether purchased at Fenway, other designated locations or on www.redsox.com, may not re-sell their Raffle tickets to other parties, and may not knowingly give such Raffle tickets away to others for the purpose of allowing those other parties to re-sell such Raffle tickets. All Raffle tickets which have been resold in violation of these Official Rules shall be void. All individuals who re-sell Raffle tickets in violation of these Official Rules shall be ineligible to participate in the Raffle or to win any Prize.
DRAWING: Potential winners will be selected in a random drawing from eligible Entries received (the "Drawing"). The Drawing will be held at Fenway Park in Boston, MA on Friday July 11, 2008 between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., during the pre-game show to be telecast on New England Sports Network ("NESN") before the start of the Boston Red Sox game scheduled to be played that evening. If for any reason whatsoever the Drawing cannot be held on July 11, 2008, it will be held between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Saturday July 12, 2008. The Drawing will be telecast on NESN. The winning Raffle ticket numbers will be announced by Sponsor at the Drawing. The winning ticket numbers will also be displayed and announced on NESN both immediately after the Drawing and at periodic times after the Drawing on redsox.com. In addition, from 8 p.m. ET on Friday July 11, 2008 through 11:59 p.m. on Thursday July 17, 2008, individuals may call the toll free number 1-888-WSRINGS (1-888-977-4647) anytime to hear a recorded announcement of the ten (10) winning Raffle ticket numbers. However, as provided below under "NOTIFICATION OF POTENTIAL WINNERS," owners of winning Raffle ticket numbers have only until 11:59 a.m. ET on Thursday July 17, 2008 at the latest to claim their Prizes, even though the winning numbers may continue to be announced on the 1-888-WSRINGS recorded phone line until a later date.
NOTIFICATION OF POTENTIAL WINNERS: Owners of eligible entries need not be present in person at the Drawing in order to win. Sponsor will endeavor to contact the purchasers-of-record of the ten winning entries ("Potential Winners") by mail, phone or email immediately after the Drawing, to notify them that they are Potential Winners, but only if and to the extent that Sponsor can successfully identify and contact such Potential Winners based on the identifying and contact information supplied by the purchasers of the Entries in question. WHETHER OR NOT CONTACTED BY SPONSOR, EACH POTENTIAL WINNER MUST CONTACT SPONSOR DIRECTLY TO CLAIM HIS/HER PRIZE NO LATER THAN 11:59 A.M. ON THURSDAY JULY 17, 2008, BY APPEARING IN PERSON AT SPONSOR'S OFFICES AT 4 YAWKEY WAY, BOSTON, MA, 02215 ON MONDAY JULY 14 THROUGH THURSDAY JULY 17 between the hours of 11 AM and 3 PM WITH THEIR WINNING RAFFLE TICKET, OR BY SENDING AN EMAIL CONTAINING THAT POTENTIAL WINNER'S CONTACT INFORMATION TO firstname.lastname@example.org during that same time frame TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS SO THAT SPONSOR MAY INSPECT AND VERIFY EACH CLAIMANT'S RAFFLE TICKET BEFORE NOON ON THURSDAY JULY 17, 2008.
DETERMINATION OF OFFICIAL WINNER(S): Sponsor shall have the sole discretion to determine whether each Potential Winner is an official winner of a Prize (an "Official Winner"). Sponsor's decision concerning the identity of all Official Winners shall be final and binding. To become an Official Winner: (1) a Potential Winner must be eligible to participate in the Raffle under these Official Rules and must not be in violation of these Official Rules as determined in Sponsor's sole judgment; (2) that Potential Winner must contact Sponsor, or be contacted by Sponsor, by the deadline specified above under "NOTIFICATION OF POTENTIAL WINNERS"; (3) that Potential Winner's winning entry must be inspected and verified in person by Sponsor by the deadline specified above; (4) that Potential Winner must execute and return to Sponsor an affidavit of eligibility on a form to be provided by Sponsor before prize is awarded; and (5) that Potential Winner must provide Sponsor with all tax identification information required by federal, state or local law and, where applicable, provide Sponsor with payment for any required withholding taxes due prior to that Potential Winner's receipt of the Prize. If for any reason whatsoever all of the foregoing requirements are not satisfied with respect to a particular Potential Winner, or if Sponsor is unable for any reason to identify the holder of a winning Raffle Ticket or to contact a Potential Winner, then that Potential Winner's Prize will be deemed forfeited and, at Sponsor's sole discretion, an alternate Potential Winner and Official Winner of that Prize will be selected, through another random drawing from the remaining pool of eligible Entries.
Sponsor shall use the following rules to determine the identity of any Potential Winner and of the Official Winner of each Prize: (1) in the case of a Raffle ticket that was purchased at www.redsox.com, Sponsor shall conclusively presume that the purchaser of that ticket, as determined by credit-card purchase records, is the lawful owner of that Raffle ticket and that ticket's winning number and (2) in the case of a Raffle ticket that was purchased at Fenway Park or another specified in person sales venue, Sponsor shall conclusively presume that the person who is in possession of that Raffle ticket is the lawful owner of that Raffle ticket and that ticket's winning number, and Sponsor shall not make, nor have any duty to make, any inquiry whatsoever into the circumstances under which that person came into possession of such winning Raffle ticket. In the unlikely event that an error or problem in the administration of the Raffle results in two (2) or more Raffle ticket purchasers holding winning Raffle tickets that contain identical ticket numbers, then the person who has record of the earliest ticket purchase shall be deemed to hold the winning Entry.
AWARD OF PRIZE(S) TO OFFICIAL WINNER(S): A Prize will be awarded to each Potential Winner who has been designated by Sponsor as an Official Winner up to the limit of Ten Prizes listed above. All prizes will be presented to the Official Winners at Fenway Park on Saturday, July 26, 2008, during the pre-game ceremonies immediately preceding the Boston Red Sox game scheduled to be played on Saturday, July 26, 2008. (If for any reason that presentation cannot be held on July 26, 2008, then it shall be held at Fenway Park during the pre-game ceremonies on Sunday July 27, 2008.) At the presentation ceremony, Sponsor reserves the right to present each Official Winner with a Prize which has not yet been personalized to that Official Winner, if that Official Winner has not been designated sufficiently in advance of the ceremony to allow enough time for personalizing the Prize. In that case, that Official Winner will receive a Prize labeled as "#1 Fan." If that Official Winner still desires a personalized prize, then that Official Winner must surrender the awarded Prize to Sponsor immediately after the presentation ceremony. Sponsor will then promptly arrange for the Prize to be personalized and then returned in person to the Official Winner. Each Official Winner shall be solely responsible for his/her own transportation and other travel costs associated with his/her attendance at the presentation of the Prizes at Fenway Park. However, each Official Winner will receive (2) complimentary tickets to the Boston Red Sox game to be played at Fenway Park on the date when the Prizes will be awarded to the Official Winners. Each Official Winner must accept his/her Prize in person, unless Sponsor approves, in its sole discretion, other arrangements for the delivery of the Prize to that Official Winner.
TAXES: All federal, state and local income taxes are the sole responsibility of each Raffle winner. The taxable value of the Prize will be treated as ordinary income to the winner for federal and state income tax purposes, and each winner will be required by law to pre-pay a portion of the tax liability incurred in connection with his/her receipt of the Prize before receiving his/her Prize from Sponsor.
GENERAL CONDITIONS: The Released Parties (defined below under "RELEASE OF LIABILITY") are not responsible for: (1) Entries which are stolen, lost, damaged, illegible, given away or no longer in the purchaser's possession, (2) Entries that have been or may have been tampered with or re-sold in violation of these Official Rules; (3) Entries or payments that are delayed, misdirected, undelivered, not fully captured, or garbled as a result of any failure or problem whatsoever with the availability, functionality, operability or use of any network, server, ISP, website, Internet connection, computer, telephone, cable or satellite modem or connection, hand held mobile device or any other computer equipment or connection, whether or not caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by viruses, worms, or malfunctions affecting a network, server ISP or any equipment or programming used in or associated with the Raffle; (4) the inability of a purchaser or prospective purchaser of an Entry to connect or stay connected to the Internet, to log on to any website, or to participate of an Entry to connect or stay connected to the Internet, to log on to any website, or to participate in or complete any online communication or activity related to the Raffle; (5) any other errors of any kind, whether human, typographical, printing, mechanical, or electronic in nature, which relate to or are connected with the Raffle (collectively, as described in clauses (1) through (4), "Errors"), including without limitation Errors in Raffle-related materials or in the administration of the Raffle, such as Errors in processing Entries, identifying Potential Winners, determining Official Winners, or announcing or delivering Prizes; or (6) any injury or damage to any person's computer equipment related to or resulting from participation in this Raffle, the use of any website associated with the Raffle, or the downloading of any materials from such website(s). Anyone who tampers with or abuses the downloading of any aspect of the Raffle or associated website, as determined in Sponsor's sole judgment, will be disqualified from participation in the Raffle and if applicable, will be deemed to have forfeited all claims to any Prize. If any portion of the Raffle is compromised, in Sponsor's sole judgment, by a virus, worm, bug, nonauthorized human intervention or other causes which, in Sponsor's sole judgment, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Raffle, or the proper submission or capture of Entries (collectively, a "Compromising Event"), then Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend, modify or terminate the Raffle, and to select winners from all eligible, non-suspect Entries received before the known occurrence or discovery of such Comprising Event.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY: Entrants, by participants in the Raffle, agree that The Red Sox Foundation, the Boston Red Sox, NESN, Baseball Advanced Media, MLB and all MLB Entities, each of their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, partners, and advertising and promotion agencies, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, shareholders, members, consultants and agents (collectively, the "Released Parties") will have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by entrants against, any liability for injuries, losses, cost, expenses or damages of any kind, including damages for death, personal injury, property damage or property loss, or other harm resulting from, whether in whole or in party or directly or indirectly, participation in this Raffle or the acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any Entry or Prize, rules and their application thereof, all means of ticket sales, Raffle process, and/or winning ticket selection.
PUBLICITY RELEASE: Each Official Winner, by accepting his/her Prize, grants Sponsor and Sponsor's designees and affiliates, including the Boston Red Sox, full permission, except where legally prohibited, to use that Official Winner's name, address (city and state only), photograph, voice and/or other likeness and Prize information for advertising, trade and promotional purposes without further compensation and without notice, review or approval, in all media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide, and on the Internet and world wide web, in perpetuity.
COPYRIGHT: All Raffle materials are copyrighted by Sponsor, and may not be copied, reproduced or used for any purpose without Sponsor's express prior written consent.
GOVERNING LAW; SEVERABILITY: The Raffle and these Official Rules shall be subject to and governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. If a court of competent jurisdiction finds that any provision of these Official Rules, or their application to a particular persons or circumstances, is invalid or unenforceable to any extent, then the remainder of these Official Rules, and the application of all of these Official Rules to other persons or circumstances, shall not be affected by that determination, and shall remain enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law. PLEASE NOTE: Depositing raffle tickets or related materials in the US Mail is a violation of federal law and could lead to criminal penalties.
