PESKY IMMORTALIZED AT FENWAY PARK Dressed in the same uniform he donned for the first time more than 60 years ago, Johnny Pesky proudly sat in his Red Sox gear on Sunday, September 28, vividly turning memories into words as if they happened just yesterday. After 57 years with the organization, Pesky saw his number retired in right field alongside those of his former teammates and players. His No. 6, which he wore from the beginning, as a rookie shortstop in 1942, will forever sit between Joe Cronin's No. 4 and Carl Yastrzemski's No. 8.
