Not sure what to expect at Red Sox Fantasy Camp? Read what these experienced Campers had to say!

"Red Sox Fantasy Camp is the best way to enjoy baseball from a pro's view. It shows you that we all play for the name on the front of the jersey, not the name on the back. If you are a Red Sox fan this is a must do on everyone's list. You will enjoy yourself beyond what you expect. Baseball is a boys game played by men, well for one week we are all boys again Thank You RED SOX!"
- Victor Lardani

"A great experience. For one week, regardless of whether you could actually play baseball like one, we were treated like major leaguers. You can have a great time regardless of how you can play baseball. Butch Hobson, our team's manager, treated us like his own ballplayers and took a real interest in showing us the finer points of the game. Our other coach, Jim Corsi, re-worked my pitching windup and curveball in about 10 minutes, and kept us laughing the whole week. The trainers took care of the muscle pulls and applied the ice packs whenever we needed. The locker room staff cleaned and hung up your jersey for the next day without fail. I'll be back!!"
- Dave Yarin

"Anyone with a basis in baseball, whether 40 years old or 65 years old, will have an incredibly memorable time. Whether you played as a kid, in high school or even college, by the second day of camp you will probably be dirty, perhaps smell bad with messy hair and not even care. You'll feel like a kid again, and be stunned that you haven't experienced those sensations in years! This has become an annual event for me and my brother - if we can breathe, we will be in attendance."
- Greg Spanos

"This was my fifth year in a row and it just gets better every year. You are treated like a big leaguer for an entire week. You eat, play, talk and sleep baseball all day everyday! Fantasies do come true at the Red Sox Fantasy Camp."
- Tom Urbanski, Jr.

"When you sign up for a Fantasy Camp we are all hoping to create an experience that our baseball ability levels couldn't achieve for us, and that is to make it to the Major Leagues, even for a week, and that is what this camp does. It is incredible. From the moment you walk into the clubhouse on the first day and you see YOUR uniform in the locker and then you dress and start to meet the Pros and to a man they are warm and welcoming. Then the first Kangaroo Court----man I have read about these since I was a kid but now I am in one! Then you step onto the fields and the grass is that beautiful green, the baselines and batters boxes are freshly lined and I am there looking at MY field of dreams. The rest of the week flies by and you meet a group of great guys who just plain LOVE baseball and LOVE the Red Sox. You get to play lots of baseball, learn more about the game from the Pros, compete and have more fun than you can imagine possible. Everything about the Camp was first class and I would recommend the camp to anyone."
- Paul Cunniffe

"I had a great time and found it to be a wonderful experience. I was worried that because I hadn't played organized ball in 35 years that I might struggle, but that wasn't the case at all. It would recommend this to any baseball fan."
- Mark Morrison

"Facilities were outstanding, accommodations the best, coaching staff could not be rivaled. I learned more in 7 days at fantasy camp than at any point in my life. The Red Sox are a class above the rest. Highly recommended for any baseball nut!"
- Scott Keene

"This was one of the greatest experiences of my life! I came into camp not knowing exactly what to expect, but what I found was fabulous. Our team even won the championship! I reconnected with my love of playing baseball, instead of just watching, and managed not to hurt myself. Our coach, Ron Johnson, was particularly great, as was Rich Gedman. Two real gentlemen."
- Doug Warren

"A fantastic life experience that exceeded my expectations on and off the field. I thought it was going to be a once in a lifetime opportunity, but now I plan on coming back for more!"
- Michael Burns

"The camp was a true fantasy camp. No matter what level a person plays at, the staff always made everyone participating feel good about themselves. The competition for the championship ring was exciting. It was great to see 13 guys come together as a team and win the championship ring. The week was a great experience and the friendships made will last a long time. I will be back."
- Lee Turner

"A complete Major League Baseball experience. From the locker room to the ball fields, from the uniforms to the training staff, from the camaraderie to the access to the ex-pros, everything about this camp is designed to make you feel like a pro ballplayer. Thanks for a lifetime experience!"
- John Monahan

"I keep coming back to Red Sox Fantasy Camp because the experience provides more spontaneous laughter in one week than usually occurs in a month of daily Seinfeld re-runs. I continue to be humbled by how demanding and exacting baseball can be, even when played as a fantasy camper. Thanks to the Red Sox pros and staff, it truly is as real as it gets. As I clean out my locker at camp's end I begin planning my year-long fitness and flexibility program (after 2 weeks of rest and rehab!). Red Sox Fantasy Camp has become my personal fountain of youth!"
- Roy Kaplan

"The staff, former players, and fellow campers were absolutely wonderful! They have provided an experience that went above and beyond my expectations. This experience only serves to reinforce the notion that the Boston Red Sox care about their fans and I am more proud to be a Red Sox fan. Every staff member deserves a big round of applause for doing an outstanding job! I will always cherish this wonderful experience for the rest of my life."
- Kevin Nolan

"The Red Sox run a first class Fantasy Camp. It gives you the chance to live your childhood dream for a week. I had the time of my life and will definitely do it again."
- Tom Reardon

"The 2008 Boston Red Sox Fantasy Camp was indeed a dream come true. What made it even extra special was being able to share the experience, minute by minute with my best friend of 40 years. From start to finish, all the details of the experience were just amazing. From the moment we walked through the door that said "Players Only", the experience began. The pros who were there were just outstanding. The icons of our past were just regular guys who treated us with respect and dignity. The trainers were magically able to hold us all together and again, the treatment was always respectful, especially considering the physical condition of the campers was far different than what they deal with normally. The clubhouse and camp staff did a great job seeing to our needs. Spending a week in the locker room, playing on the fields and enjoying the camaraderie that develops among men with a common passion for baseball and the Red Sox was just amazing."
- Brian Sullivan

"This was my first Fantasy Camp, and as a member of Johnson's Jackals, it could not have been a more enjoyable and rewarding experience. It started with being placed on a team of 13 great guys, always supportive, having fun, but also competitive. Ron Johnson and Dick Drago were incredible coaches but, more importantly, even better people. On Monday morning at camp, I was one of the first to arrive and was like a little kid going through the locker room looking for my uniform. The rest of the week, meeting and interacting with the Pros, getting to know the other campers, and of course, playing the games was an experience I will never forget."
