Q: What is mini Fenway Park?
A: Kids Replica Ballpark, Inc. is a nonprofit and 501 (c)(3) tax exempt organization, whose mission is to build for children ages 4 to 17 throughout Red Sox Nation a kid size Fenway Park or mini Fenway Park for youth baseball, softball and tee ball programs.

Q: What are the major components of mini Fenway Park?
A: The major components include:
  1. Fenway Park Replica, a kid-size Fenway Park with a regulation youth baseball and softball field including all of the present day features of the real Fenway Park: the Green Monster, the Fisk and Pesky Poles, dugout, bull pens, red box seats, light towers, Citgo Sign, practice batting and pitching cages, the exact foot print of the historic field and 1912 Façade.
  2. Legends Museum, a museum with both stationary and interactive exhibits that will feature baseball legends such as Carl Yastrzemski, the first graduate of the Little League System to make it to the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
  3. Major League Baseball Fan Fest Area including interactive exhibits that replicate the actual MLB Fan Fest held annually at the All Star Game.
  4. Theater shaped like a baseball diamond that features indoor clinics, lectures, baseball games and movies.
  5. Food & Beverage consisting of a full service Restaurant with Function Rooms, Food Court & Concessions.
  6. Souvenir and Pro Shop with the latest baseball and softball apparel, equipment and memorabilia.
  7. Clubhouse for players and coaches traveling a long distance.
Q: How will mini Fenway Park be developed?
A: mini Fenway Park will be developed in phases. The first phase will consist of the Fenway Park Replica, all site work and parking.
Q: How long will it take to build mini Fenway Park?
A: As a public/private partnership, the mini Fenway Park Project requires approvals from several state agencies. At its best, the public approval process in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts has been described as long and unpredictable. In addition, the use of the name and image of Fenway Park requires licensing agreements with both The Boston Red Sox and Major League Baseball. Compliance with these agreements requires an ongoing approval process. During the last several years, a dedicated group of volunteers has been working on all of the approvals needed before construction can begin. Once all of these approvals are completed, the actual construction of the first phase will take 6 to 9 months to build with a timetable for subsequent phases to be determined as each component is selected and fundraising is completed.
Q: When will the construction of the first phase of mini Fenway Park begin?
A: The current plan is for a ground breaking in the spring of 2009.
Q: How much will it cost to build the first phase of mini Fenway Park?
A: An estimate based on the preliminary architectural drawings forecast the cost of construction including the site work to be $2 million.
Q: Who will pay for the construction of mini Fenway Park?
A: Private funds from Corporations, Foundations and Individuals in the form of sponsorships and gifts will be raised to pay for the construction.
Q: Will mini Fenway Park be a year round facility?
A: Yes, a dome will eventually be placed over the facility from October to April to ensure year round use.
Q: Has mini Fenway Park received any Lead Gifts or Sponsorships to date?
A: Yes, a pledged gift of $1 million to the "Where Dreams Play" Capital Campaign to build the first phase; a long term lease with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that provides 12 acres of land and the Boston Red Sox and Major League Baseball have granted the rights to the image of Fenway Park in connection with the mini Fenway Park Project and to be displayed on the Fenway Park Massachusetts Special License Plate.
Q: Who will pay to maintain mini Fenway Park?
A: Revenue generated from several sources that include: rent from Sub-Leases, The Fenway Park Massachusetts Special License Plate, Sponsorships and Program Fees.
Q: Who will be allowed to play at mini Fenway Park?
A: All youth baseball, softball and tee ball teams from the various leagues throughout Red Sox Nation will have the opportunity to play and or participate in programs. A lottery system will determine regular season games to be played. All tournament play from the various leagues will be accommodated.
Q: Has mini Fenway Park launched any of its programs?
A: Yes, the pilot for the Legend's Program was successfully launched recently at a temporary site in the Blue Hills Reservation.

Q: What is the current relationship with the Boston Red Sox and Major League Baseball?
A: Kids Replica Ballpark, Inc. is an official licensee of the Boston Red Sox and Major League Baseball and authorized to use the name and image of Fenway Park in connection with mini Fenway Park Project. The Boston Red Sox have hosted events at Fenway Park, provided equipment for our Legends Program and a booth at Fenway Park to promote mini Fenway Park at every home game including Playoff and World Series games.
